Recognized music sources
Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Deezer, SoundCloud, and other players that provide music metadata.
Content filter
YouTube is treated as music only when its media metadata identifies a song or music. Podcasts, episodes, movies, Netflix, social videos, and unclassified browser media stay out of the playing island.
Classification uses the active player's playback state and metadata. Preview cases below are simulated; live YouTube or browser detection depends on metadata exposed to the desktop media interface.

The live extension backs up tasks, notes, settings, and focus history. Clipboard and Shelf files are excluded. These labels are illustrative; this browser preview does not access GNOME data.
Perdana Island preview
This local preview opens on Summary, where music, focus, tasks, messages, reminders, and the shelf share one screen. Messages are separated from Notifications, and Shelf combines Files and Clipboard behind a switch; clipboard keeps up to 25 entries and can be cleared. Notes, Today, Settings, simulated alerts, a reply composer, a brightness OSD, session greetings, and smart music detection are still here. Values are sample data, and preferences stay in this browser only. GNOME hides the island over fullscreen windows; Ctrl+Alt+X toggles its visibility.
